The Gazette has announced the release of company law event information, which is now accessible in beta version via The Gazette’s company profiles, alongside other key information.

What is company law event information?

The Gazette, the UK’s official public record, has announced the beta release of company law event information on their already popular company profiles service. The launch of company law event information in beta means that gazetted company law document information is now accessible via company profiles alongside other key information.

The Gazette publishes a company profile for every UK company registered with Companies House. Each company has its own profile page showing Gazette notices which, since the release of the company law event information, contain all company documents that are required to be gazetted under the Companies Act 2006, including popular data such as:

• incorporation date
• notification of director changes
• company strike-off information
• details of event-based filings to Companies House

The Gazette has also strengthened the company profiles with useful additional information, sourced from Companies House, such as:

• director names
• registered office details
• account filing details
• nature of business

The Gazette company law event information uses data extracted from the official public notices that are published in The Gazette by Companies House under sections 1064 and 1077 of the Companies Act 2006.

The Gazette has been publishing the official company law supplement since 1973, first as a microfiche document and more recently as a PDF, which remains the official notification. This project aims to increase the visibility and accessibility of company law information via individual company profiles.

The launch of company law event information now means that company law data can be found via a handy timeline of gazetted company events on each company profile page (see below).

It should be noted that the pdf company law supplement remains the official notification under the Companies Act 2006, which can be found using the ‘View company law official notification’ action on each extract.
