New Year Honours 2012 Has Published

We are very pleased that the New Year Honours 2012 published this morning at 00:01.

Old Paper, New Technology

Did you know that the Gazettes are on Twitter?

Although some of the english speaking world's oldest newspapers the Gazettes are an avid users of new technology.

Whether you want to scrape the website for information (you are very welcome to do so), interrogate the free Sparql endpoint on our RDF store or purchase spreadsheet and XML datafeeds

We have been on Twitter for some time. @GazetteHonours tweets new honours and appointments and interesting historical issues, @FootballNotices publishes key insolvency notices relating to football clubs.

Changes to Rates May 2011

09 May 2011 :

To reflect rising costs, the charge for placing notices in the Gazettes will increase for notices published in or after the issue of 2nd May 2011 (London), 3rd May (Edinburgh) and 6th May (Belfast).

This is the first revision of prices since May 2008 and represents an overall increase of 1.5%.

The price excluding VAT for all notices of less than twenty lines and placed by:

  • Webform, template or XML costs will be £47.75 +VAT; or
  • Post, fax, or email costs will be £63.50+VAT.

The cost of longer notices will be subject to an equivalent small increase.

The Calculate the Cost , facility on the website will use the new prices from Thursday 21st April.
