(CLOSURE OF SECTIONS OF EXISTING CARRIAGEWAY AT FARMGATE SQUARE, VIEWFIELD ROAD, MANSFIELD ROAD AND QUEENS CRESCENT, BELLSHILL)
STOPPING UP ORDER 2012
North Lanarkshire Council hereby give notice that they have made an Order under Section 207 of the Town and Country Planning
(Scotland) Act 1997 authorising the stopping up of several sections of carriageway at Farmgate Square, Viewfield Road, Mansfield
Road and Queens Crescent, Bellshill, (referred to as “the sections of carriageway”) all shown outlined in black and cross
hatched on the plan annexed and subscribed as relative to the said Order. The Order is about to be submitted to the Scottish
Ministers for confirmation or to be confirmed as an unopposed Order. The sections of carriageway will be stopped up and closed
to all traffic (including pedestrian traffic). The stopping up of the sections of carriageway are necessary to enable development
to be carried out in accordance with Class 31 of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (Scotland)
Order 1992.
A copy of the Order and relevant plan showing the sections of carriageway to be stopped up may be inspected at the offices
of either the Divisional Manager, Department of Planning and Environment, North Lanarkshire Council, Fleming House, Cumbernauld
G67 1JW, or at the offices of the Head of Legal Services, North Lanarkshire Council, Civic Centre, Windmillhill Street, Motherwell,
ML1 1AB by any person, free of charge, at all reasonable hours during a period of Twenty eight days following the appearance
of this advertisement.
Within that period, any person, by written notice to the undernoted (quoting reference C PD SUO 0005), may make representations
or objections with respect to the Order.
