THE A9 TRUNK ROAD (INSHES JUNCTION) (30MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 201[ ]
THE SCOTTISH MINISTERS give notice that they propose to make the above Order under section 84(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984 which will have the effect of imposing a 30mph speed limit on the following length of road:
That length of the M9/A9 Edinburgh - Stirling - Thurso Trunk Road being the Inshes Slip Road from a point 40 metres or thereby
north west of the west gable of the property known as the Smithy, Inverness to a point 20 metres or thereby east of the intersection
of the slip road with the A9 southbound carriageway, a distance of 145 metres or thereby.
Full details of the proposal are contained in the Order which, together with a plan showing the length of road involved and
a statement of the Scottish Ministers’ reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be examined free of charge during normal
business hours from 3rd February 2012 to 9th March 2012 at the offices of Transport Scotland, Buchanan House, 58 Port Dundas
Road, Glasgow G4 0HF; Inshes Library, Inshes Road, Inverness IV2 3RF and Scotland Transerv, Balblair Depot, Beauly, By Inverness,
Inverness-shire IV4 7BG.
Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send details of the grounds for objection in writing to The Chief
Road Engineer, c/o Annette Gallagher, Transport Scotland, 8th Floor North, Buchanan House, 58 Port Dundas Road, Glasgow G4
0HF quoting reference A9/Inshes/AG by 9th March 2012.
