NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A SUBMARINE PIPELINE WORKS AUTHORISATION
Nexen Petroleum UK Ltd. hereby gives notice, in accordance with the provisions of Part I of Schedule 2 to the Petroleum Act
1998 that it has made an application to the Secretary of State for Energy & Climate Change for the grant of an authorisation
for the construction and use of a new section of 24” oil pipeline between the downstream flange of the existing Scott riser
tie in flange located at [58Deg 17’ 18.37”N; 00Deg 12’ 03.92”E] and the mechanical connector with the existing pipeline located
at [58Deg 14’ 37.25”N; 00Deg 17’ 06.57”E]. The works entail the replacement of a section of the existing 24” Scott Oil Export
Pipeline [PL822] with a replacement section composed of rigid tie-in spools. The total length of the replacement section will
be approximately 7.4km in length.
A map delineating the route of the proposed pipeline and providing certain further information may be inspected free of charge
at the places listed in the Schedule to this notice from 10am to 4pm on each weekday from the date that this notice is published
until the date mentioned in the next paragraph of this notice. Alternatively log on to the following page to view electronically,

Pursuant to a direction of the Secretary of State, representations with respect to the application may be made in writing
and addressed to the Secretary of State for Energy & Climate Change, EDU-LED, Atholl House, 86-88 Guild Street, Aberdeen,
AB11 6AR (marked FAO Mr Christopher Duguid, Offshore Pipeline Authorisations) not later than 28th February 2012 and should
bear the reference “01.08.04.06/480C” and state the grounds upon which the representations are made.
