JUSTIFICATION OF PRACTICES INVOLVING IONISING RADIATION REGULATIONS 2004

NOTICE OF THE DETERMINATION THAT THE USE OF IONISING RADIATION TO SCAN VEHICLES AND THEIR PASSENGERS SIMULTANEOUSLY IS NOT AN EXISTING PRACTICE

The Home Office wishes to announce that on the 16th March 2010 the Home Secretary determined that the applications by Spectrum San Diego Inc for the use of radiation to scan vehicles and their passengers simultaneously using x-ray or gamma ray radiation has been determined as not forming part of an existing practice under Annex 3 to the DECC Guidance on the Justification of Practices Involving Ionising Radiation Regulations2004 - SI 2004 No 1769.

Details of how to obtain a copy of the Justifying Authority’s statement and the consultation report on which it is based are available on the DECC website,
