THE A90 TRUNK ROAD (CRIMOND) (40MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 201[ ]

THE SCOTTISH MINISTERS hereby give notice that they propose to make the above Order under sections 84(1)(a) and 124(1)(d) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which will have the effect of imposing a 40mph speed limit on the following length of road:

That length of the M90/A90 Inverkeithing – Fraserburgh Trunk Road from a point 360 metres or thereby south of the extended south kerbline of the junction with the U24B Starnafin Road, Crimond northwards to a point 450 metres or thereby north of the extended south kerbline of U24B Starnafin Road, Crimond, a distance of 810 metres or thereby.

The Aberdeen-Fraserburgh Trunk Road (A92/A952) (Crimond Village) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 1993 is revoked by this Order.

Full details of the proposal are contained in the Order which, together with a plan showing the length of road involved, a copy of the existing Order to be revoked and a statement of the Scottish Ministers’ reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be examined free of charge during normal business hours from 26th August 2010 until 30th September 2010 at the offices of Transport Scotland, Buchanan House, 58 Port Dundas Road, Glasgow, G4 0HF; Aberdeenshire Council, Arbuthnot House, Broad Street, Peterhead, AB42 1DA and Crimond Post Office, Crimond, Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire AB43 8QJ.

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send details of the grounds for objection in writing to The Chief Roads Engineer, c/o Michael McCormack, Transport Scotland, Buchanan House, 58 Port Dundas Road, Glasgow, G4 0HF quoting reference MMC/A90/CRMD by 30th September 2010.
