ROADS (SCOTLAND) ACT 1984

SOUTH LANARKSHIRE COUNCIL (AULD KIRK ROAD, CAMBUSLANG) (STOPPING UP) ORDER 2010

Notice is hereby given that South Lanarkshire Council propose to make an Order under section 68(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 stopping up the road described in Part 1 of the Schedule below.

The title of the Order is “South Lanarkshire Council (Auld Kirk Road, Cambuslang) (Stopping Up) Order 2010”.

A copy of the proposed Order and of the accompanying plan showing the stopping up of the road together with a statement of the reasons for making the Order are available for inspection during normal working hours Monday to Friday inclusive at the offices of:-

(i)  Parking Unit, Montrose House, Montrose Crescent, Hamilton ML3 6LB

(ii)  Roads Area Manager (Rutherglen), 380 King Street, Rutherglen G73 1DQ

(iii)  South Lanarkshire Council, Q and A Your Council Connection, 27 Main Street, Hamilton ML3 6LB, Cambuslang G72 7EX

Any person wishing to object to these proposals should send details of the grounds for objections in writing to the Head of Roads and Transportation, Montrose House, 154 Montrose Crescent, Hamilton ML3 6LB, by the 24 September 2010.

Schedule

Road to be stopped up

That section of Auld Kirk Road, Cambuslang, from the extended west kerbline of Trinity Drive, westwards for a distance of 120 metres or thereby, as shown zebra hatched on the plan annexed.

That section of Auld Kirk Road, Cambuslang, from the extended east kerbline of Trinity Drive, eastwards for a distance of 197 metres or thereby, as shown zebra hatched on the plan annexed.
