ROADS (SCOTLAND) ACT 1984

THE M876 (GLENBERVIE CONNECTING ROADS) SPECIAL ROAD SCHEME 2010

THE SCOTTISH MINISTERS hereby give notice that they have made the following Orders:

1.  The M876 (Glenbervie Connecting Roads) Special Road Scheme 2010 under sections 7, 8(2) and 10(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 to provide for the construction of special road at Glenbervie.

2.  The M876 (Glenbervie Connecting Roads) Side Roads Order 2010 under sections 9(1)(c), (d) and (f) and 70(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 to provide for the construction of a length of new side road; the improvement of side roads; the stopping up of private means of access; and the provision of new means of access to land.

The lengths of connecting road as special road (or motorway) will be for the exclusive use of traffic of Classes I and II as set out in Schedule 3 to the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 and will be trunk road.

Copies of the Scheme and Order as made, together with the relevant plans may be inspected free of charge during normal business hours from 17th August 2010 to 28th September 2010 at the offices of Transport Scotland, Buchanan House, 58 Port Dundas Road, Glasgow G4 0HF; the offices of Falkirk Council, Abbotsford House, Davids Loan, Bainsford, Falkirk FK2 7YZ; Larbert Library, 22 Hallam Road, Stenhousemuir, Larbert, Stirlingshire FK5 3BF (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9.30am - 8.00pm; Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 9.30am - 5.00pm) and Falkirk Library, Hope Street, Falkirk FK1 5AU; (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9.30am - 8.00pm; Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 9.30am - 5.00pm).

ANY PERSON aggrieved by these Orders who desires to question the validity thereof, or of any provision therein on the grounds that they are not within the powers of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 or that any requirement of the said Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within 6 weeks of 17th August 2010 make application to the Court of Session for the suspension of the operation of, or the quashing of, the Order or any provision contained therein.
