Welcome to the Edinburgh Gazette. The modern Edinburgh Gazette is a broad range of official, regulatory and legal information published in the form of individual notices which may vary in length from a single line to many pages. The longest notices often appear in publications of their own which are known as supplements. Most notices are specified in legislation.
We also carry a huge archive of historically important information published since the Edinburgh Gazette was first published in 1799, there have been some breaks in publication over the years however our sister newspaper the London Gazette has published continuously since 1665.
